Speaking directly to the great and good, it’s a well-polished affair with guests being grilled by Watson on a range of topics, including:
- the murder of George Floyd

- America’s delayed response to COVID-19
- change-making LGBTQ people of colour

Partnering with the Oprah Winfrey Network, Watson has produced Black Women OWN The Conversation and the OZY Media TV special Take On America. He won’t back down from asking the tough questions point-blank. Don’t let the disarming smile fool you. He doesn’t flinch from stepping into the non-PC space wherever needed. That’s why he’s so exciting to watch.
The Carlos Watson Show is committed to LGBTQ visibility
Carlos proclaims himself an ally to the LGBTQ cause, we’re told. He’d like to think we’ll tune-in to watch his show regularly. Among an assorted mix of guests, gathered together to entice us, are Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown, fashion designer Tan France, and writer/professor Roxanne Gay (so far!). The Tan France interview took place last week and was very emotional, we understand. Carlos delves behind the personal stories of his guests to reveal the traumas, triumphs, and truths of their lives. And we get to see a small part of what it’s like to be LGBTQ, a person of colour, and living in America today.
As a perfect blend of wit, charm and chat, The Carlos Watson Show is a welcome addition for audiences of colour, LGBTQ people, and the curious of mind everywhere. This show stands out from the crowd as Carlos asks the questions that others are afraid to ask, and gets his guests to share pieces of themselves that they’ve never revealed before.
The Carlos Watson Show airs on YouTube from Monday, 3rd August 2020 with Karen Bass in the hot seat.
